The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) in cooperation with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) will host a webinar on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) Section 1512 reporting requirements. The information covered in this webinar will provide additional guidance for all Recovery Act grant recipients.
What information will be presented?
This session will provide supplemental information to the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) existing guidance on recipient reporting and the central reporting solution, www.FederalReporting.gov. One of the key areas the webinar will cover is how to calculate and report data on job creation and retention resulting from your grant projects and activities.
Who should attend?
All DOJ grant recipients receiving Recovery Act funds are encouraged to attend this online training session. Attendees will receive a comprehensive overview of the recipient reporting requirements as set forth in the Recovery Act and OMB implementing guidance. As an important feature of the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to submit questions to the presentation panel and receive feedback during session.

On Monday, August 17, 2009, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Recipient registration opens at FederalReporting.gov. All entities defined under Section 1512 of the ARRA must register prior to fulfilling their reporting obligations. We encourage registration by September 30, 2009 so you are prepared for the first reporting period, which opens on October 1, 2009.
There are prerequisites for registration which require Agencies and Recipients to obtain a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet and/or to register with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to registering on FederalReporting.gov. Guidance for Dun & Bradstreet and CCR registration can be found in OMB Memorandum M-09-21, June 22, 2009, which is posted on Recovery.Gov and Whitehouse.Gov. Do not begin the registration process until you have completed the DUNS and/or CCR registration requirements.
Along with the FederalReporting.gov website, a service desk will be operational to assist in the registration process. Over the past weeks, the service desk has gathered information for their Knowledgebase that will allow them to answer questions about the registration application and to address technical issues. In addition to these topics, the service desk may get policy or programmatic questions. To this end, the service desk has compiled basic, frequently asked questions to add to the knowledge base. In the event a caller needs information that is not available to the service desk, the service desk will create an excerpt of the ticket to forward to an agency point of contact (POC) for resolution. The agency may then respond directly to the caller or provide the information back to the service desk and they will respond to the caller.
For specific questions regarding ARRA Section 1512 requirements, please send an email to Recovery@omb.eop.gov. Please include "ARRA 1512 Recipient Question" in the subject line.
